White-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta Canadensis)
Dark crown and nape.  Prominent white face and black eye.  Stripes on back and wings.  The tan breast is what distinguishes this eastern species bird the most.  Nests in rootlets, grass, and moss as well as in birdhouses.  Feeds on sunflower seed and suet from feeders.  Four and one-half inches in length.  Weight, 0.4 ounces.
