Ruby-throated hummingbird- Female (Archilochus colubris)
Female is distinguished by her white throat, breast, and belly. Found primarily in woods, streams, and gardens. Will nest in plant down, bud scales, and lichens with spider silk. Is attracted to a mixture of clear sugar water from feeders. Three and one-half inches in length. Weight, 0.1 ounces.
