Ring-billed Gull (larus delawarensis)
Distinguished from most other species by its clear back ring just before the tip of its thin yellow bill. Found on coasts, lakes, and in fields and dumps. Will nest in grasses, pebbles, and sticks placed on the ground. Generally requires three years to reach adult plumage. Length is 19 inches. Weight, 15.2 ounces.
