Canada Goose (Branta Canadensis)
This thirty-six inch long goose weighing 8.4 pounds is found in venues ranging from lakes and ponds to private lawns. Appearance is brownish gray with black head and neck and with a white chin. Prefers nests of sticks, moss, and grass. Although it is readily attracted to cracked corn, feeding of this bird in generally discouraged due to their tendency to acclimate to populated urban areas resulting in pollution of ponds and lawns with their droppings.
