Rose-breasted Grosbeak (Pheucticus ludovicianus)
Male appearance is a black and white body with a prominent large bright red triangle on its breast. Found in wooded areas with mixed woods and shrubs. Is attracted to a diet of sunflower and hulled sunflower seed on the ground and from feeders. Will nest in trees in horsehair, twigs, and grass. Eight inches in length. Weight, 1.6 ounces.
