Brown-headed Cowbird (Molothrus ater)
Male displays glossy black body with dark brown head and gray bill. Found in pastures, woods, and forest clearings. Sometimes found in urban lawns. Feeds on various seeds on the ground. This species is generally discouraged at feeders due to their parasitic nature- feeding also on other birds. Seven inches in length. Weight, 2.4 ounces.
