Black-capped Chickadee (Parus atricapillus)
Known for its distinguished white cheek with black cap and gray back with buff sides. Very similar in appearance to the Carolina Chickadee. Habitat includes woods, farmland, and shrubs. Prefers nests in tree holes and birdhouses with moss. Prefers a diet of sunflower seed and suet. Five inches in length. Weight, 0.4 ounces.
