Ruby-throated hummingbird- Male (Archilochus colubris)
Green upper parts and irridescent red throat with white breast and belly. Found in sods edges, streams, parks, and in gardens throughout the region. Will nest in plant down, bud scales, and lichens. Is attracted to hummingbird feeders containing a sugar water solution. Three and one-half inches in length. Weight, 0.1 ounce.
